The CoE acts as a facilitator between spin-off & start-up companies and SCG Chemicals. We want to hear from spin-offs and start-ups who contribute with their idea, technology or business model with the CoE and SCG Chemical.
SCG Chemicals' investment areas include:
Polymer technologies that improve production efficiency (conversion, energy consumption) or material properties (strength, density).
Sustainable chemistry for reduction or conversion of CO2, elimination of plastic waste, bio-refinery and plastic waste processing & conversion technologies
Advanced materials for next-gen industrial devices and breakthrough AI for material discovery and development.
SCG Chemicals make equity investments from Seed Stage through Growth Capital in the areas above. SCG Chemicals investments are made directly or as part of a syndicate of investors.
The CoE has outstanding interaction with Oxford University’s technology transfer company Oxford University Innovation Ltd (OUI)., and the largest university-affiliated investment company in the world Oxford Science Enterprise (OSE) to invest in early-stage technologies and spin-offs from Oxford University.
If you are a spin-off from Oxford University or a start-up with technologies that fit with the CoE and the SCGC's focus areas and would like to know more about SCGC's line of businesses, please contact us at SCG Alliance Manager, Ms Gulcin Avul via gulcin.avul@chem.ox.ac.uk to learn more.
